Problematic/doubtful Umlauts:

The following list is intended for discussion. Please give me your opinion for each case. I think that we can reduce this number of doubtful cases. Eventually you have some other things to think about?

  1. Mt 1237 A 1 L probably bleed through from large B from opposite page (1235)
  2. Mt 1256 B 21 L possible, superimposed by chapter number
  3. Mt 1258 C 5 R very far right and between two lines, probably only blots
  4. Mt 1262 C 6 L more like a bar, or 3 very near dots
  5. Mt 1266 B 18 L very weak, smeared down umlauts?
  6. Mt 1270 A 31 L
1271 C 31 R eventually one of these is an imprint, both are weak
I would say 1270 is the imprint.
  7. Mt 1275 B 31 L very thin points
  8. Mk 1278 A 39 L very weak, not enhanced umlaut or blots?
  9. Mk 1281 A 26 L slanted, quite on the bottom of the line, small additional dot
  10. Mk 1281 C 6 L between column B and C, probably only blots. Canart thinks it's a true one.

  12. Mk 1289 A 10 L Imprint from opposite page, or blots?
  13. Mk 1296 A 33 L probably only imprints
  14. Lk 1309 A 22 L
1309 A 23 L left and right from the ">" sign, probably both real umlauts
  15. Lk 1310 C 39 L
1311 A 39 R one probably an imprint, both enhanced!
I would say 1311 is the imprint.
  16. Lk 1315 A 15 L not enhanced, very thight
  17. Lk 1337 A 39 R probably only blots
  18. Lk 1345 B 11 L very weak
  19. Lk 1358 C 25 L slanted, only blots?
  20. Jo 1358 C 32 L
1359 A 32 R one probably an imprint, very probably is 1358 the imprint
  21. Jo 1365 A 8 L eventually only blots?
  22. Act 1386 A 35 L eventually imprint from opposite
  23. Act 1387 A 24 R very tight. Canart thinks it's a true one.
  24. Act 1396 B 39 R probably only imprint from opposite
  25. Act 1401 C 38 R
1402 A 38 L bleed through! Exactly one upon the other. Difficult!
Canart says one shines through on the other side, the other not. Ink is dark in both cases. Still problematic.
  26. Act 1408 B 25 R probably only imprint
  27. Act 1410 B 17 L eventually only imprint from opposite letter, three dots
